Benjy is a data and analytics professional with years of experience solving problems quantitatively, targeting voters and consumers, and running efficient programs.
Since joining Precision, Benjy has focused on helping clients solve their toughest problems with cutting-edge data and analytics strategies and tactics. He leads the firm’s quantitative work across clients, including in 2014 with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and targeted US Senate races.
He has consulted for a diverse set of clients across a wide range of industries, including helping foreign political parties prepare for national general elections, working with a national gun safety organization to pilot an innovative new messaging frame around reducing gun violence, and teaming with a Fortune 10 corporation to relaunch its shareholder outreach program.
Most recently, Benjy was a senior software engineer at NGP VAN, helping build the toolbox of the progressive movement and integrating the company’s core applications with each other, customers, and other tools.
In 2012, Benjy served as Deputy Coordinated Campaign Director in Missouri, using advanced data and analytics tactics to help re-elect Sen. Claire McCaskill, Gov. Jay Nixon, and the rest of the Democratic ticket. Before joining the Missouri campaign, he served as Data and Technology Director for Sen. Tim Kaine’s successful 2012 campaign, where he planned the campaign’s data program and helped develop its initial voter contact efforts.
Before joining the Kaine team, Benjy worked for Voter Activation Network, a precursor to NGP VAN, Virginia State Sen. Creigh Deeds’ campaign for Governor, and Sen. Mark Warner’s 2008 campaign.
A proud native of Washington, DC, Benjy’s first experience in politics was in 2004, helping the DC office team on the Kerry-Edwards campaign. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and History from Georgetown University.
