With experience on the local, state and federal levels, Emily Lyons understands the power of the constituency. An expert in strategic messaging, Emily has focused on digital advocacy, particularly engaging millennials and women for the past six years. At Red Edge, Emily helps political campaigns, associations and corporate clients to effectively identify, educate and mobilize their audience.
Prior to joining the Red Edge team, Emily worked alongside Evan Feinberg during both his 2012 congressional bid in Pennsylvania, and later during his tenure as President of Generation Opportunity, the premier conservative outreach group targeting millennials. Lyons has applied her strategic communications background to multiple grassroots initiatives including advocate training across the country.
Upon graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Emily joined one of the initial cohorts of American University’s Political Communications program, under Professor Dotty Lynch, long-time CBS political editor and founder of the gender gap in political polling. Under professor Lynch’s guidance, Emily extensively researched and developed her thesis on the evolution of Conservative Feminism and strategic messaging to women. Emily operationalized her research during the 2016 election with much success in the North Carolina and Pennsylvania senatorial campaigns.
Emily lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband, four kids and wheaten terrier, Linus.
